Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has been picked in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Team of the Tournament, earning a place among the competition’s top performers after a record-setting run with the bat.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced its Team of the Tournament on Monday, with Farhan included following a standout campaign that featured two centuries.

Farhan was Pakistan’s most consistent batter even as the team struggled for momentum and bowed out at the Super Eight stage. The 29-year-old finished with 383 runs in just six matches, setting a new record for the most runs scored by any batter in a single edition of the men’s T20 World Cup.

He also became the only the second batter to score two hundreds in a single T20 World Cup edition. One of the defining knocks came against Sri Lanka in Pakistan’s final Super Eight match, where his century helped set up a five-run win.

The ICC said the Team of the Tournament was selected based on performances across the event, considering overall impact and match contributions. The selection panel included Ian Bishop, Eoin Morgan, Natalie Germanos, Gaurav Saxena, and Sri Lankan journalist Rex Clementine.
