Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered their second defeat in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 as the team lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by eight wickets. An ordinary batting performance from RR saw the team post 151-9 in 20 overs which was chased by KKR without breaking a sweat.

RR was captained by Riyan Parag , who was named the skipper for the first three games due to Sanju Samson's unavailability. Samson isn't taking the field for RR and is being used as an impact player. The match was played at the Barsapara Cricket Ground in Guwahati. It was a special occasion for the fans to see a local player leading an IPL side. For the unversed, Parag is the first player from Assam to lead an IPL side.

The craze among the fans for Parag during the match was high, and one of the fans even invaded the pitch to touch Parag's feet. It was a special moment for young Parag, however, many on social media see it as a mere PR stunt.

It has become really common for fans to cross the boundary and meet their favourite stars. They are ready to risk everything just to get close to their idols. Recently, during the KKR vs RCB match, a fan breached the security to meet Virat Kohli. The fan paid a heavy price for his act and was banned from entering Eden Gardens. He was even sent to judicial custody and spent a day in jail.
