Ashley Blanchard, WMU PhotographerMen's Tennis January 15, 2026Men's Tennis Host Double-Header on Friday, Wayne State on SaturdayKALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team opens up its 2026 Spring Schedule with a busy four days of tennis, hosting Grand Valley State and Chicago State on Friday at 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at West Hills Athletic Club. Wayne State comes to Kalamazoo on Saturday for a 1 p.m. start and the Broncos then head to Notre Dame to take on Duquesne and the Fighting Irish on Monday.Admission to all WMU men's tennis home matches if free.ROAD WARRIORSAfter Saturday's match against Wayne State, the Broncos head on the road for their next eight. After Monday's double-header against the Dukes and Notre Dame, WMU takes on Butler, Wisconsin, Omaha (at UW.), Purdue, Yale (at PU), and Michigan.Western Michigan does not have another home match until hosting Marquette and Ferris State for a double-header on Friday, Feb. 20. WMU also hosts Michigan State that weekend on Sunday at 1 p.m.500Heading into Friday's match against GVSU, Western Michigan head coach Dave Morin sits at 497 wins at the helm of the Bronco men's tennis program.Since taking over during the 1996-97 season, Morin has led the Broncos to 14 MAC Regular Season Championships and another 15 MAC Tournament Championships and trips to the NCAA Tournament. He has been named the MAC Coach of the year in 14 of his 28 seasons at Western Michigan, while also earning it Bowling Green before arriving in Kalamazoo. Morin currently has an all-time record at WMU of 497-244 (.668).
