Danielle Collins started her 2024 season with a bang but suffered a dip in her form in the latter phase of the season. Having withdrawn her retirement, she will be keen to clinch a few more titles in the next few months. Can she get some wins under her belt ahead of the 2025 AO? Time will tell! However, if we look at Danielle Collins’ (11) record in the 2024 season, she had a win-loss record of 38-17. On the other hand, Ons Jabeur (40) had a win-loss record of just 16-15.

If we take a look at their playing styles, Ons Jabeur’s style of play is more based on her variation and incredible hitting. She likes to utilize slice and drop shots in particular. She can also hit winners in a variety of ways, including backhand drop shots from the baseline and forehands up the line.

Danielle Collins’ powerful serves and strong groundstrokes make her one of the toughest opponents on the Tour. Her style of play allows her to hit a high number of winners, but she can also make a considerable number of high-risk unforced errors. Collins’ greatest strengths are her kick serve, her inside-out forehand, and her versatile and strong backhand. Her double-handed backhand is a bit stronger than her forehand. Apart from that, Danielle Collins also possesses strong volleying skills, allowing her to hit winners from any position on the court. Considering all these factors, Collins has the upper hand going into this encounter against Jabeur and she is likely to win the match in three sets.
