IND vs AUS 4th T20 Live Cricket Score, India vs Australia Today Match

Jitesh Sharma is the last batter to depart, and it is Zampa who picked up his third wicket of the evening. The batter tried to play a sweep shot behind the wicket and was trapped in front of the wicket. The umpire did not give it out; however, Zampa has decided to send it upstairs, and the decision was reversed as there were three reds. It must be said Australia have a made superb comeback in this game the captaincy from Mitchell Marsh has been supeb he just kept attacking the Indian batting through and through.

First, Suryakumar Yadav tried to flick one on the leg-side of Bartlett and got the leading edge, which went high in the air, and a fielder at square-leg took the catch, and Tilak Varma is the last one to fall. He tried to reverse-sweep Zampa got the edge, and the keeper took the catch. It has been an excellent passage of play for Australia; they have picked up three wickets in a cluster. India has batted well, but they need to close this final over. The square boundaries are quite big at this venue, and if they manage to get around 170-180, that will be a winnable total.

Shubman Gill has fallen here. It was a slower one from Ellis, which, after pitching him, went in sharply. Gill, trying to play his favourite short-arm jab, got beaten by the delivery, and his stumps were rattled. After doing all the hard work, Gill has thrown away his start. Tilak Varma has walked into the middle. Also, it is quite smart captaincy from Mitchell Marsh to bring in Ellis for his third over and stop Zamap from this end, who has been operating. It will be interesting to see how Marsh juggles his bowlers in the last five overs. As we update, Bartlett has picked up Suryakumar Yadav.

Suryakumar Yadav has started quickly off the blocks here. He has crunched a couple of brilliant sixes through the cow-corner, and it was an expensive over from Zampa. Although the leg-spinner has picked up a wicket, he has been quite expensive today to Australia's liking. It will be interesting to see if Marsh will use all four overs of Zampa. He also needs to complete the quota of the fifth bowler, which is what Stoinis has come into bowl. The tactics have been pretty plain, simple and sharp from Marsh in this game.

Nathan Ellis has got rid of Shivam Dube here. The batter was setting himself up for the short-ball, and Ellis bowled a good length delivery, which was a slower one, which Dube tried to whack on the leg-side and chopped it onto the stumps. Well, it was an experimental promotion; a lot cannot be made of it. Neither did Dube fall for a low score or play an innings where he looked out of sorts, but it was an innings which was played according to the situation, although India would have wanted him to get more runs, but not to be today.

Shivam Dube's promtion up the order in this game is a bit baffling in the three games when there was an opprotunity to send him in a position which usually he bats at the side has decided to promote the all-rounders above him and today he has been thrown at three altough today it is a situation which suits him more with spinners operating in the middle overs. But Mitchell Marsh, reacting quickly, has removed Zampa and Stoinis from the attack and has turned to his seamers Dwarshuis and Bartlett, who are into picking Dube, but it did not happen.

Adam Zampa has got the breakthrough here. It was a fuller one, and to be fair to Abhishek Sharma, he did get underneath the delivery; however, he could not get the middle and was holed out by Tim David. That was a clever piece of bowling from Zampa. He is someone who makes the batters hit either side of the square, but on that occasion, he pitched the ball up, and there seemed to be a conscious effort and some sort of plan. And as per the batting order, there is a change; it is Shivam Dube who has walked into the middle.

The wicket has been a bit on the slower side. Suryakumar Yadav did mention that it did seem a bit on the slower side, and it has started that way. What India wants is that there is no dew setting in through the evening; if that happens, the wicket will get quicker and Australia will have an upper hand. And if the dew does not come in India has the upper hand here. Anyscore around 170-180 might be very hard to chase on this wicket, especially with the slow bowling options Surya has at his disposal in the second innings.

Sean Abbott, who has played in the previous game for Australia, did take a bit of tapping. It is his spell that arguably cost Australia the game. Ben Dwarshuis, two overs into his spell, is already looking like a better prospect. He is an experienced campaigner, Dwarshuis. He has been plying his trade for years in the Big Bash League and Australian domestic circuit, and is eventually getting his games and is doing well. Today, too, he has started quite nicely; having said that, Marsh would have loved for Dwarshuis to pick wickets.

Abhishek Sharma has been dropped early in the piece here. The batter tried to hit one through the covers, and the ball went high in the air; however, it was not taken by the fielder. It is Ben Dwarshuis who has taken the new ball for Australia, and there is a bit of movement in the air. One of the noticeable things about this ground is that there are gaps for free air moment, which allow the ball to swing. Interesting ground this one, and it is hard to understand why not too many games are hosted at this venue. It looks brilliant.

Not a lot of games have been played on this surface, hence unless India bats and we are into a couple of overs, it is hard to predict what is a good score on this wicket. The crowd though is buzzing and we are having quite different vibe to what we have seen so far in this series.

We are going to bowl first. We don't play a lot here. It is great to be here, will try to get as much information about the surface as we can. It is great, five-match series going down to the last two games, both teams will be pumped. We have four changes - Zampa, Maxwell, Philippe and Dwarshuis come in for four other guys.

This is what you play bilaterals for, you challenge yourself and it is a beautiful stadium, everything to play for. The preparation has been good. We had a day off, had a good practice session yesterday, looks like a subcontinent wicket, later on it might get slower so we are happy to bat first. We were looking to bat first. Looks similar to Indian conditions, put runs on the board and we want to take up that challenge. We are going with the same team.

Abhishek tops the batters’ list with 925 rating points ahead of England’s Phil Salt and Tilak Verma. India captain Suryakumar Yadav is the only other player from the side the top 10, sitting at eighth. Spinner Chakravarthy remains top with West Indies Akeal Hossein sitting on second. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan squares off the top three, which remained unchanged.

“He didn’t really get to bowl in this match (2nd Test vs West Indies). We don’t want players to only play matches overseas. That puts a lot of pressure on the players. We want to groom certain players that we think can help us win matches overseas because that’s been a challenge for us,” Gill said to the broadcasters.

“Yes, he did all his work that was needed or expected of him today, fielding, batting, bowling, and he ticked all of that. So we will find out now, after the assessment, where he is at.”

“It is not easy,” said Morkel on Arshdeep. “There will always be disappointment in terms of players and selection, but that is something at times that, as a player, is uncontrollable.”

“For us, from our side, we just keep on asking them to work hard and try hard and be ready for when they do get the opportunity. There are limited games now leading into the T20 World Cup, so it is essential for us to see how the players can react in certain situations under pressure; otherwise, it will be unknown to us. So it is a bit of playing those sorts of games and then still having the mindset to win the game of cricket,” said Morkel.

“If I meet him soon, then I would like to ask him how he managed to balance his T20I and ODI games. I haven’t been able to do so. I thought ODIs should be played like T20Is. I want to ask him what he did to be successful in both formats,” Suryakumar Yadav said on Vimal Kumar’s YouTube channel.

“AB, if you are listening to this, please get in touch with me quickly because there are three or four important years ahead for me. I’m very keen on playing ODI cricket as well. Please help me! I couldn’t balance T20Is and ODIs,” he added. The South African has scored from 228 games scored 9577 runs.

“It definitely is a challenge, and the more you do it, the better you get at really understanding the little adjustments that you have to make to your technique, to your game plan, your mindset around each format to be able to then get into the best version of you every time you have to make that adjustment,” said Watson.

“It does take time (to make adjustments), and it’s through trial and error that you really realise exactly what you need to do to make those adjustments, and playing in different conditions as well,” Watson is quoted as saying by PTI.

“But Shubman is a ridiculously talented batter. He’s got an amazing technique. It’s not going to take him long at all to be able to really navigate his way through the different formats because when someone is as highly skilled as he is, it’s not going to take him too long.”

The T20I series between India and Australia is perfectly poised at 1-1 as they head into the crucial fourth match today, Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the Carrara Oval (Gold Coast). India bounced back dramatically in the third T20I, successfully chasing down a large 187-run target in Hobart thanks to a brilliant late-order effort from Washington Sundar (49*) and Jitesh Sharma (22*), giving them huge confidence. Australia will be without opener Travis Head, who has been released for Test duty, but are bolstered by the expected return of star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell. With clear weather predicted for the high-stakes match, both teams will be fighting fiercely to secure a 2-1 lead and guarantee they cannot lose the five-match series.
