The ICC Champions Trophy 2025, being played in Pakistan and the UAE, is slowly reaching its business end with the group games gradually wrapping up.

Eight competing teams in the 2025 Champions Trophy were divided into two groups of four each. India, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Pakistan make up Group A while Group B comprises Australia, England, South Africa and Afghanistan.

Teams from each group play each other in single-headed round-robin matches with the top two from each group progressing to the semi-finals.

Group A was settled early with both India and New Zealand winning their opening two matches to seal the semi-final berths. The two sides will face off on March 2 to determine the group winner.

Pakistan are out of the Champions Trophy 2025. Bangladesh too have been knocked out of the semi-final race.

Group B still is an open affair with Australia and South Africa leading the race having beaten England and Afghanistan, respectively, in their opening matches.

The Indian cricket team will be playing in semi-final 1 scheduled in Dubai on March 4 irrespective of whether they win Group A or not. Consequently, New Zealand will play in the second semi-final in Lahore on March 5.

If India qualify for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final on March 9, the summit place will be played in Dubai. In any other scenario, Lahore will be the host for the title decider.
