AFG vs WI 1st T20I highlights: Ziaur Rahman Sharifi took three wickets while Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Noor Ahmad got two apiece as West Indies fall short by 38 runs against Afghanistan in the first T20I in Dubai. Chasing, 182, West Indies were restricted to 143/9 in 20 overs.

Earlier, half-centuries from Ibrahim Zadran and Darwish Rasooli helped Afghanistan to 181/3. Opting to bat first, Afghanistan lost Rahmanullah Guzbaz on the first ball. Sediqullah Atal too perished in the third over.

From there on, it was all about Zadran and Rasooli, who forged 162 runs for the third wicket to never allow West Indies into the game. While Zadran remained unbeaten on 87, Rasooli lost his wicket on the final ball of the innings for 84. For West Indies, Jayden Seales and Matthew Forde took one wicket each.
