Idaho Hosts the Sacramento State Hornets for Senior Day

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho women's tennis team is back in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome for the last home match of the season. The Vandals will take on the Sacramento State Hornets on Sunday March 22, at 10 a.m. for a Senior Day celebration.

Idaho is coming off a win over the Seattle Redhawks, 6-1, in a mid-week matchup. The Black and Gold battled hard across the line-up and will continue the tenacity into the weekend. Sunday's contest presents an opportunity for the Vandals to showcase both experience and depth, highlighted by seniors Mariam Hatem and Valentina Rodas. As veteran anchors of the lineup, Hatem and Rodas have played pivotal roles in Idaho's competitiveness this season, bringing consistency, leadership and composure to both singles and doubles play.

ABOUT SACRAMENTO

The Hornets extended their win streak this past week with a win over Eastern Washington, 5-2. They have won six consecutive games and hold the No.1 spot in the Big Sky conference as of now. Of their nine-person roster, they return one senior, one red-shirt junior, two juniors, one sophomore and three freshmen.
