The ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup, organized by the Malaysian Cricket Association (MCA), is set to take place from January 18 to February 2, 2025. Over the course of 16 days, 41 matches will be contested across four venues in Malaysia.

The tournament features 16 teams, divided into four groups of four. Each team will play one match against every other team in their respective group. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six League stage.

In this phase, the teams qualifying from Group A will compete against two teams from Group D, while the teams from Group B will face off against two teams from Group C. The top two teams from each Super Six group will progress to the semi-finals, with the final scheduled for February 2, 2025.

The defending champions, India, are set to begin their campaign against the West Indies. India triumphed in the 2023 edition under the leadership of Shafali Verma, securing a comfortable 68-run chase in just 14 overs, with seven wickets in hand. They will now look to repeat their success in the upcoming tournament under the captaincy of Niki Prasad.
