Alejandro Garnacho has emerged as a target for Jadon Sancho's Chelsea

Chelsea's Jadon Sancho could be at risk of losing the 'love' Enzo Maresca thinks he requires, with Noni Madueke preferred and interest in Alejandro Garnacho forming. Despite a promising start at Stamford Bridge following his departure from Old Trafford, Sancho's form has dipped since his impressive debut in September. To make matters worse, compatriot Madueke has been shining under Maresca's management, being hailed as one of Chelsea's 'best players'. The 22-year-old has often been utilised ahead of Sancho, and competition for first-team minutes could soon heat up if Garnacho joins the fray. The young Red Devils' forward is rumoured to be on the move as Ruben Amorim's side will reportedly listen to offers for all players, in a bit to adhere to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules.

"Jadon helped us a lot," Maresca stated, asked about Sancho after his debut in the summer. "What he did tonight is exactly what we expected from him.

"I know Jadon very well because I watched him many times in the past, and I know what he can give us. Then also, Christo [Nkunku] was excellent, not only because he scored but because he fought without the ball. Jadon was exactly the same. "Jadon is a guy that needs to feel love," Maresca observed. "This is what I thought when I spoke with him before he joined us. Also he has the desire to show the player he is. But for me, he has to just enjoy football. It's the reason why they play; they're happy, and they want to enjoy football." Sancho has been in the starting line-up for 11 out of 21 Premier League matches this season, scoring two goals and providing four assists. This could be indicative of the 'love' he supposedly requires; however, Maresca's recent comments and the situation with Garnacho could signal a change, reports the Mirror.
