Join now and get your first month for just $1.Postecoglou had contact from Al Ahli and Brentford during his time away from the Premier League while Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen also considered him.He took Tottenham to a drought-breaking trophy, defeating Manchester United in the Europa League final, earlier this year but was sacked after they finished 17th in the Premier League.Postecoglou will get to coach in the Europa League again this season as Forest qualified due to Crystal Palace being demoted to the Conference League.They will face Real Betis, Porto, Braga, Ferencváros, Sturm Graz, Midtjylland, Utrecht and Malmö FF in the league phase.Forest sit 10th in the Premier League having taken four points from their first three matches. They finished 7th last season.Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has a close relationship with Postecoglou, and has targeted the former Socceroos boss following his fallout with former Forest coach Nuno Espirito Santo.“What I want to say about Ange is that he has spoken about Greece many times, he is proud to be Greek and in the great success he had with Tottenham by winning the Europa League, he spoke about Greece,” Marinakis said recently.“A man who not only does not hide his origin but is also proud of it.“What he achieved, he did with a team that has not won any titles, it has had a very difficult time in recent years. In this huge success that the whole world saw, he promoted Greece.“We must thank him especially for this and we wish him well, although we are sure that he will do well as he has the ability.“Wherever he goes, the successes will come.”Postecoglou is set to sign an 18-month contract.
