Abbott has won 58 caps across one-day international and T20 international cricket, in which he has taken 69 wickets and scored 424 runs.

"The opportunity to re-join Surrey for the 2026 season was a no-brainer for me. The club has become a real home away from home," Abbott told the club website.

"The dressing room environment is one of the best I've experienced in my career and I'm looking forward to linking up with the group once more."

Abbott has taken 49 wickets at an average of 25.73 in first-class cricket for the Three Feathers and played a part in the 2023 and 2024 County Championship Division One title wins.
