After dropping the doubles point, the Mustangs swept singles as Kennedy Buntrock (No. 1), Jessica MacCallum (No. 2), Candela Aparisi (No. 3), Alexandra Ozerets (No. 4), Natalie Lynch (No. 5) and Sarah MacCallum (No. 6) all picked up victories.Both Ozerets and Sarah MacCallum remained undefeated (4-0) in Big West singles matches this season with their wins against the Beach. Ozerets shattered the Cal Poly Division I school record for career dual singles wins just over a week ago and currently sits at 54 in her career with a team-best 10-6 record on the year.The Mustangs improved to 4-0 in Big West play with their triumph over LBSU and currently sit atop the conference standings with five Big West matches left in their season.The Rainbow Wahine enter Thursday’s match with a 5-5 record and 2-1 mark in Big West play. Last Friday at home, Hawai’i suffered its first conference loss of the season, falling 4-3 to UC Irvine. Cal Poly has won its last three matches against Hawai’i, including a 4-2 victory over the Rainbow Wahine in the Big West Championship semifinals last year.Following Thursday’s match, Cal Poly will travel to Southern California to face Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, April 11, and UC Irvine on Sunday, April 12 in its final two regular season road matches.
