India U19 vs England U19 Live Cricket Score, ENG U19 vs IND U19 5th ODI Updates: England have won the final Youth ODI by seven wickets against India U19, thanks to the some exceptional batting from Ben Mayes (who remained unbeaten on 82), Ben Dawkins (53-ball 66) and captain Thomas Rew (unbeaten on 49). Thanks to the trio, England chased down India’s target of 211 in just 31.1 overs.

The win doesn’t change the fate of the five-match series, which India have won by a 3-2 margin.

Before Mayes and Rew dragged England home, there were some anxious moments for the hosts after they lost two quick wickets with Dawkins first throwing away his wicket after smashing a 53-ball 66 and then Rocky Flintoff getting bowled cheaply. Thanks to those two wickets, England went from 113/1 to 121/3 in the blink of an eye before Rew and Mayes took charge. This was Dawkins’ third successive half century against India in this series. England were always in control of the chase, thanks to the explosive batting of Dawkins and Ben Mayes which helped England cross the 100-run mark in just 15 overs.

Earlier in the day, RS Ambrish had scored a fighting, back-to-the-wall 66 (not out) to drag India past the 200-run mark on Monday. Thanks to Ambrish’s 68-run, 8th wicket partnership with Yudhajit Guha, India managed to set England a target of 211. The partnership came after India were 135-7 at one stage with many of their top and middle order batters — including last game’s centurion Vaibhav Suryavanshi (who departed for 33), Rahul Kumar (21), Harvansh Pangalia (24) and Kanishk Chouhan (24) — getting starts. But none of them could hang around as it was left to Ambrish and Guha to take India past 200.

The young Suryavanshi, after a blistering ton in IPL, had shown his ballistic batting approach in previous games, registering the fastest ton for a youth player. He got to his mark in just 52 deliveries. He eventually ended up with a mammoth total of 143 runs from 78 balls. The blistering knock included 10 mammoth sixes and 13 boundaries.
