Have the women go in at two and have the men at seven. Or have the women at seven and the men at two.“Figure it out. You can’t have the women’s finishing at 11, 12 or one in the morning. Put the matches on earlier.“How are you supposed to get a younger audience when they are not even watching? They’re in bed! It’s 11 o’clock on a school night by the way!“You had to not show the men’s because we had the women’s on Tennis Channel and the Tennis Channel commentators to their credit said what are you guys doing, how are you not finding out how to have both finals at different times? So we are not diluting the product.”US Open set to continue dramatic North American hard court swingTennis certainly doesn’t help itself at times, with the Canadian Open finals typifying its often confusing nature.Very bizarrely, Shelton and Khachanov were left extremely bemused on court when the crowd erupted during their match.It interrupted their final, with the jubilation coming after news emerged that home favourite Mboko had defeated Osaka in Montreal.The North American hard court swing has already been filled with many twists, turns and controversies, with the US Open yet to arrive.Tennis’s scheduling problem has emerged at the Cincinnati Open, with several injuries or withdrawals taking place at the tournament, while inclement weather has caused significant delays.The fourth and final Grand Slam of the season gets underway later this month, with the revamped US Open mixed doubles shocking fans well ahead of its first match.
