Venus Williams gets second Barbie doll in two years

Seven-time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams has a new Barbie for the second straight year.

The new doll for Williams, who returned to competitive tennis last month for the first time since March 2024 in Washington, DC, was unveiled on Wednesday (13 August) as part of Barbie’s Inspiring Women line.

It will go on sale this Friday (13 August).

Williams was honoured with a Barbie last year for her work in advocating gender pay equity in sports. She was one of nine feamle athletes featured for Barbie’s 65th anniversary collection.

The 45-year-old is entered for the US Open mixed doubles competition with Reilly Opelka.
