Reports: Bills sign Canadian WR Josh Palmer, LB Michael Hoecht

The Buffalo Bills have plenty of Canadian fans. Now, they have more Canadian content on their roster, too.

The Bills reached agreements with Canadian wide receiver Josh Palmer and linebacker Michael Hoecht on Monday, according to multiple reports.

It's a three-year, $36-million deal for Palmer, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported.

A native of Brampton, Ont., Palmer will be playing as close to home as possible, suiting up for the team across Lake Ontario.

Palmer, 25, had a solid season for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024, nabbing 39 receptions for 584 yards and one touchdown for the league's 11th-rated scoring offence.

He now joins the league's second-rated scoring offence from last season, alongside Khalil Shakir — who signed a four-year, $60-million contract two weeks ago — and rookie receiver Keon Coleman.

Since being drafted in the third round, 77th overall, by the Chargers in 2021, Palmer has 182 receptions for 2,287 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Hoecht agreed to a three-year, $24-million pact, Rapoport reported.

The native of Oakville, Ont. signed as an undrafted free agent with the Los Angeles Rams in 2020 after playing NCAA football at Brown.

Hoecht had 24 tackles and three sacks last season in a backup role.
