Kvicha Kvaratskhelia has told Napoli that he wants to leave the club in the January transfer window amid interest from clubs in the Premier League and Paris Saint-Germain.The Georgia international has been the source of much speculation this month, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all linked with a move for the unsettled forward. It appears that Kvaratskhelia is set to join a new club sooner rather than later, as Napoli manager Antonio Conte confirmed on Saturday that the 23-year-old has informed the Serie A outfit of his desire to move elsewhere.Kvaratskhelia demands Napoli exit amid Premier League links“We are talking about an important player, last summer I spoke to the president and I wanted to have some technical certainties by demanding the confirmation of some important players,” the former Chelsea and Spurs boss said (via Gianluca Di Marzio).“Even though he and others had asked to be sold, I worked on it and I managed to keep who I wanted. He (Kvara) asked the club to be sold.“I am disappointed, I realized that it was a bolt from the blue and I am taking a step back. I would never want him to think that I have chained him here if he were to stay.“I did it last summer thinking of convincing him of the goodness of the project but evidently I did not succeed. We are losing an important player”.Although a Premier League transfer has been mooted, PSG appear to be the frontrunners for the player’s signature in January. Foot Mercato reporter Santi Aouna claims that the French side are close to reaching a verbal agreement over a deal, which could be completed “next week”.Kvaratskhelia, who joined Napoli from Dinamo Batumi for a reported fee of €10–12 million in 2022, played a key role in the club’s Scudetto success in his debut season. He has recorded 59 goal involvements in 107 appearances across all competitions. The winger’s contract runs until 2027, but the club have made little headway on agreeing a new deal.Read – Five Premier League players who need a January transferSee Also – Ranking every Premier League club by their current trophy droughtFollow The Football Faithful on Social Media:Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | YouTube | TikTok
