Australia and South Africa are set to compete in their first Test match in three years at Lord's Cricket Ground in London later this week, having qualified for the World Test Championship final after leading the 2023-25 cycle points table.The defending champions Australia, led by Pat Cummins, secured their spot with a win in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series to India earlier this year. South Africa, under Temba Bavuma's leadership, earned their place in the final through consistent performances in home matches, amounting to six straight wins during the latter stages of the championship.
