Furthermore, senior staff at U.S. Soccer were also not informed that two of their players would be visiting the White House.Weah on the ‘bit weird’ situationSpeaking after Juventus thrashed Al-Ain on Wednesday night, Weah commented on his visit to the Oval Office to meet the President, stating “It was all a surprise to me, honestly — they told us that we have to go and I had no choice but to go. I was caught by surprise, honestly. It was a bit weird. When he started talking about the politics with Iran and everything, it’s kind of like, I just want to play football man.”Trump made sure to single out Weah and McKennie during the conference, saying “We have two great American players.
