Australia v India day two: Bumrah injury fears as Test left on a knife’s edge

On a day of drama, allrounder Beau Webster has delivered just what was required, a slick half-century on debut. The big Tasmanian Webster has been right at home in this Test, completing two catches and bowling well. He is the first batsman to pass 50 in this game.

“It’s been a fine, fine innings on debut. Under pressure … he has just looked totally confident,” Ravi Shastri said on Fox Cricket.

“He has been tight in defence. His intent to attack is there as well.”

Webster came to the crease when Jasprit Bumrah was in full flight.

Added Brett Lee: “I have just liked how he has gone about his business … it’s a spicy wicket here.”
