IND vs NZ LIVE – Team India practice Wellington: Team India’s 1ST practice session in Wellington has ended. Hardik Pandya led entire team attended the 3 hours session at Basin Reserve. Team India practice Wellington: Some of the Indian cricketers were seen in GYM on Tuesday but this is the 1st full fledged session for the team in Kiwiland.

The likes of Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal arrived in the country after India’s exit from the T20 WC. The quartet started with their preparations after a short break, with Chahal and Co beginning with their gym sessions on Monday & Tuesday.

The other members of the squad including coach VVS Laxman arrived in Wellington on Tuesday morning.

India have named a young side for the series against New Zealand with an eye towards a white-ball reboot following a humiliating exit from the T20 World Cup. Head coach Rahul Dravid has also been afforded a rest, with Laxman taking charge for the series.

All eyes will be on the batting unit with as many as four openers fighting for a place in the side. Ishan Kishan is likely to be first choice, while the likes of Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson all stand a chance to bat at the top of the order. Suryakumar, Deepak Hooda, Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson have all opened for India in T20s, with Gill yet to make his debut.
