Gary Neville and Roy Keane both predict same outcome from Man Utd vs Man City, completely disagree on exact scoreline

Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Roy Keane were on the same wavelength for the upcoming Premier League clash with Manchester City.

Ruben Amorim’s men were in action on Tuesday evening and Manchester United lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League match at City Ground.

United languish in 13th place in the Premier League table under Ruben Amorim and the Red Devils have managed only 10 wins in 30 matches in the 2024-25 campaign.

Amorim’s side are currently on course for their worst Premier League finish since England’s top-flight league was first formed back in 1992.

The Red Devils also face a real threat of failing to secure European football for the 2025-26 Premier League season through their finish in the league table.

However, United are through to the Europa League quarter-finals and UEFA’s second-tier club competition could be a route back to the Champions League.

The Red Devils’ Europa League campaign is also Amorim’s last chance to lift major silverware as United manager before the end of the 2024-25 season.

Roy Keane and Ian Wright agree on their scoreline prediction for Man Utd vs Man City at Old Trafford

Manchester United will welcome Manchester City to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, with kick-off for the Premier League clash slated for 4:30pm UK time.

Roy Keane and Ian Wright teamed up and took on Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville for The Overlap’s predictions for different Premier League matches this weekend.

While Jamie Carragher and United legend Neville were bickering with one another, Keane and Ian Wright wasted no time making their prediction for the City match.

United icon Keane and Arsenal legend Wright have tipped Pep Guardiola’s men and Ruben Amorim’s side to play out a 1-1 Premier League draw at Old Trafford.

Gary Neville argued that United have turned up for their “big” matches this season and the Sky Sports pundit insisted that he was “not building” up the Red Devils.

Speaking on United vs City, he said: “But what about this game? United have done well in big games, haven’t they? They have.

“Right, seriously, I’m not building them up. No, seriously… United in big games, Arsenal, Liverpool, City, they’ve done pretty well in those games.”

Neville and Jamie Carragher felt the same way as Keane and Ian Wright that the match would be a drew, but the pair went for a different scoreline for the contest.

“I think 1-1. I think 1-1. I would have said 1-1 […]. We’ll say 2-2,” Neville said.

Following the City match at Old Trafford, United will travel to the Parc Olympique Lyonnais next Thursday for their first-leg quarter-final tie in the Europa League.
