Miguel looks to break clear and make a run at goal. He had Ezzejjari in support to his right but decides to make a run at the defence. He goes down after Hormipam tackles from behind. The Brazilian looks for a foul, but referee Harish Kundu says there is nothing wrong with that tackle.

Sandeep gets the ball after a good overlapping run. Anwar, at the edge of the box, goes down for a tackle but fails to stop Sandee. But what he does is force Sandeep into putting in a heavy touch, which allows Gill to come off his line and collect the ball.

Ezzejjari does well to stab the ball down the line to Miguel on the left. The Brazilian makes his way inside the box, cuts in and goes for a curler. However, his shot is blocked.

Kerala Blasters give away the ball cheaply at the back, and East Bengal force a corner. Nothing comes of it.

It is just one of those matches where scoring chances have been rare.

Kerala Blasters started the match better, but the momentum was halted when Aiban brought down Ezzejjari inside the box, which resulted in a penalty. The Spaniard converted from the spot for the Red and Gold lead, but that was the only shot he had at goal in the first 45.

The Blasters looked promising on a couple of occasions but failed to capitalise.

Fallou and Rashid had chances in first-half stoppage time but could not finish their respective chances.

Fallou almost bags an equaliser for the Blasters as he gets a header away from a corner. He does well to direct the ball towards the far-post but it is inches away from the target.

After taking an early lead, Bruzon would have wanted his men to capitalise, but that has not happened. The performance needs to be better in the second=half.

A cross comes in from the right, and Danish gets his head to the ball. It is a looping header but the ball does not dip enough in time and goes out of play.

Rakip fouls Yoke and KBFC gets a freekick ina good position.

Miguel gets to the end of a long ball over the top. He makes his way inside the box from the left and goes for a shot at goal. However, he is put under pressure from Fallou, and the Brazilian ends up putting his shot wide.

Kerala Blasters has not been reserved in its approach despite going behind early. It is constantly on the attack and keeping the Red and Gold defence busy. East Bengal cannot afford to just hold on to this one-goal lead.

Bipin whips in a low cross for Ezzejjari, but Hormipam does well to put the Spaniard under pressure and prevent him from getting a clear shot away at goal. The ball takes a rebound off Ezzejjari and falls to Saul at the edge of the box. Saul shoots but skies his effort.

Kerala Blasters is showing urgency in trying to get the equaliser. East Bengal needs to be careful here because in football, one is most vulnerable after taking the lead.

It is a calm finish from Ezzejjari as he sends the keeper thr wrong way to convert the penalty and give the lead to East Bengal.

Penalty - Edmund gets the ball inside the box and squares it to Ezzejjari. The Spaniard has to just tap the ball in, but is brought down. The referee points to the spot.

Kerala Blasters have a good spell of pressure in the final third. Sandeep whips a cross inside the EBFC box from the right. Danish tries to connect but the ball hits him and goes out of play.

East Bengal is trying to put early pressure on the Kerala Blasters defence. Playing at home, the pressure is more on the Red and Gold Brigade to take the three points from this match.
