Vanderbilt Health today announced that it has signed a multiyear agreement to become the Official Health Care Provider of the Tennessee Titans and Nissan Stadium. In addition to sports and event medicine services, the partnership brings two community leaders together for exciting new initiatives centered around the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and community youth sports.

“Everyone knows that nothing brings a community together like football,” said Jeff Balser, MD, PhD, President and CEO of Vanderbilt Health and Dean of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. “This long-term partnership with the Titans signals further expansion of Vanderbilt Sports Medicine into the Mid-South and comes at an exciting time with the new Nissan Stadium marking another major step in solidifying Nashville as one of the biggest sports and entertainment markets in the U.S.”

As a founding “Cornerstone Sponsor” in the new Nissan Stadium, Vanderbilt Health will partner with Nissan Stadium on a family zone designated as the “Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt Terrace.” Fans will also see a “Vanderbilt Health” entry and permanent signage inside the stadium bowl as they attend events in the 60,000-capacity stadium, set to open in 2027.

Vanderbilt LifeFlight Event Medicine will provide first aid and emergency medical services for Titans games and all other events held at the current Nissan Stadium and the new Nissan Stadium upon its completion.

In addition, the existing team headquarters and practice facility on Great Circle Road in MetroCenter will be renamed as the “Vanderbilt Health Football Center.”

“We are excited to enter into this partnership with Vanderbilt Health,” said Burke Nihill, Titans President and CEO. “This is a testament to their commitment to delivering world-class medical care and serving communities throughout Middle Tennessee and the Southeast. We know the caring spirit and distinctive capabilities that Vanderbilt is known for will allow us to continue our mission to win, serve and entertain at the highest level.”

Vanderbilt Health is committed to the future of the new Nissan Stadium and the Tennessee Titans because in professional sports, just like in health care — the details matter.

“Our goal at Vanderbilt Health is to provide world-class care across the entire spectrum of health to the people of Nashville and the Mid-South,” said Jane Freedman, MD, Deputy CEO and Chief Health System Officer for Vanderbilt Health. “We are honored to provide world-class care for the Titans organization.”
