Jorge Jesus makes Bruno Fernandes transfer demand, Al-Nassr persist with potential deal despite Saudi League rejection

Bruno Fernandes has become the subject of renewed interest from Saudi Arabia, even though the Manchester United captain rejected advances from Al Hilal earlier this summer.

It goes without saying that Bruno Fernandes has been Manchester United’s most valuable player since joining the club from Sporting CP.

Only time will tell if United’s new signings can help shift some of the responsibility that sits on Fernandes’ shoulders at Old Trafford each season. Matheus Cunha arrived from Wolves, only to be joined by former Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.

They will hope that they can kick on with their careers by playing at the highest level, with help from Amorim’s dedicated backroom team.

United are also trying to sell players this summer to raise funds for more signings. Only a few players are safe from the sale, and Fernandes has already rejected the opportunity to leave United this summer.

Al Nassr want Bruno Fernandes

It came as a huge relief that Fernandes chose to remain at United and snub interest from Saudi Arabia.

The Portugal international turned down Al-Hilal and many thought that would be the end of speculation linking him with a move to Saudi Arabia.

However, there has been a further update to suggest attempts are still being made to take Fernandes to the Middle East.

Al Nassr are reportedly making a formal approach to sign the Portuguese playmaker.

According to A Bola, Al Nassr’s pursuit of Fernandes is being fuelled by the appointment of head coach Jorge Jesus.

Jesus coached Fernandes at Sporting CP and is keen to form a reunion in Saudi Arabia, where he is now coaching Cristiano Ronaldo.

The report claims Jesus has been directly involved in discussions over transfers, underlining just how high Fernandes ranks on his wish list.

Meanwhile, Al Nassr officials believe the presence of Ronaldo could help persuade Fernandes to join them.

One reporter named Sacha Tavolieri claims that Fernandes has already rejected the possibility to join Al Nassr.

What did Fernandes say when he snubbed Al-Hilal?

Fernandes made it no secret that he turned down an offer from Al-Hilal.

The offer was worth £200 million across three years, but Fernandes opted to stay at United, where he is club captain.

Fernandes reacted to Al-Hilal’s offer with a rejection and the following comments: “I will be here until the club tells me it is time to leave.

“I am available to make the club have great days again. The day the club thinks I am too much, or it is time to leave, football is like that and you never know. If the club thinks it is time to leave, because they want to make some money, that is what it is and football is like that sometimes.”
