Latest Liverpool transfer news as Arne Slot's side prepare to return to Premier League action against Burnley at Anfield on Saturday afternoon

Liverpool completed their first signing of the January transfer window last week. Mor Talla Ndiaye links up with the Reds' U21s ranks from Amitie FC in Senegal.

Liverpool are also in talks with Austria Vienna over another young centre-back, Ifeanyi Ndukwe, with a view to signing him for the summer. The Austria youth international is still just 17, but the Reds are hopeful of striking a deal that can be agreed for Ndukwe to move to Anfield for the start of pre-season training, which will begin in July.

The rumour mill is buzzing with speculation about potential incomings and outgoings at Anfield, and we have rounded up the latest transfer gossip below.

Yan Diomande 'update'

Yan Diomande revealed last week that it would be a dream come true to play for Liverpool one day. The 19-year-old joined RB Leipzig in the summer from La Liga side Leganes after they activated his €20m release clause.

And after impressing in the Bundesliga, Diomande is being linked with a move away from the Red Bull Arena. The Reds, Tottenham, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with the Ivory Coast international, who is reportedly valued at £86m by Leipzig.

And now it is being claimed by journalist Fabrizio Romano that Diomande will leave Leipzig in a mega-money deal, but no transfer will be sanctioned until the summer window.

Liverpool 'set Federico Chiesa price tag'

Liverpool want €20m for Federico Chiesa as negotiations with Juventus continue. That’s according to Italian publication Calciomercato.com, who are reporting that the Reds have set Chiesa’s price tag at €20m and are only going to discuss a permanent transfer for the Italian winger.

The report goes on to claim that Juventus are pushing for a loan deal with an option to buy that will become mandatory if certain conditions are met. The Reds signed Chiesa from the Old Lady in August 2024 in an initial £10m deal after he was deemed surplus to requirements by former manager Thiago Motta.

But the Italy international has only made 34 appearances for the Reds to date, returning four goals and four assists. Juve manager Luciano Spalletti, who previously coached Chiesa with Italy, played down such speculation about a move for the Liverpool forward earlier this month.

“I am pleased you are giving me this news, seeing as we haven’t even had a meeting yet on the transfer market,” he said, per Football Italia. “But it’s the first I’ve heard of it. For the moment, it’s just thrown out there, but absolutely nothing concrete behind it.”

Calvin Ramsay 'decision made'

Liverpool do not intend to allow right-back Calvin Ramsay to leave on loan this month. That’s according to the Daily Mail, who are reporting that Arne Slot wants to keep the full-back so that he can provide another option following Conor Bradley’s knee injury.

Bradley underwent surgery on a season-ending knee injury earlier this week. The Northern Ireland international was carried off in the closing stages of the Reds’ goalless draw at Premier League leaders Arsenal last Thursday.

He faces a race to recover in time for this summer’s World Cup, should his country qualify through the play-offs. Ramsay, meanwhile, is yet to feature in the Premier League for the Reds so far this season.
