ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 warm-up schedule announced

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the warm-up schedule for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, with matches set to be held in Bengaluru, India, and Colombo, Sri Lanka, from September 25 to 28.

Warm-up games will be played across four venues: the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, and the R. Premadasa Stadium and Colombo Cricket Club Ground in Colombo.

All eight teams qualified for the Women’s ODI World Cup will feature in the lead-up fixtures, with each team playing two matches - except defending champions Australia, who will play only one.

Additionally, India A and Sri Lanka A will participate, with India A playing one game and Sri Lanka A featuring in two.

The warm-up action kicks off on September 25 with a clash between India and England in Bengaluru, while South Africa face New Zealand at the Chinnaswamy.

In Colombo, Sri Lanka will take on Pakistan and Bangladesh meet Sri Lanka ‘A’.

Australia play their warm-up match against England on September 27, while hosts India face New Zealand on the same day.

The final warm-up fixtures are scheduled for September 28. All matches will start at 3:00 PM Indian Standard Time (IST).

The main tournament itself kicks off on September 30 with co-hosts India and Sri Lanka facing off at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
