BANGLADESH TOUR OF PAKISTAN, 2025ODI scrapped from Bangladesh's tour of Pakistan in Mayby Atif Azam • Last updated onBangladesh will now play a five-match T20I series instead. © GettyBangladesh Cricket Board official said that they have decided to scrap ODIs from their upcoming tour of Pakistan and decided to play only T20Is as both teams are aiming to prepare for the forthcoming Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.India will host the Asia Cup in 2025 while the next ICC T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played in India and Sri Lanka in 2026.The Asia Cup, scheduled for September in India, will also be played in the T20 format as teams gear up for the World Cup.Bangladesh were scheduled to tour Pakistan in May for three ODIs and as many T20Is under the FTP but both boards have decided to play a five-match T20I series instead as part of preparation for the global tournament.Furthermore, Pakistan will also play three-match T20I against Bangladesh in July which was decided during the recently-concluded Champions Trophy when the two board president sat to discuss their future course of action and opted to play the series which is not part of the Future Tour Program."We have decided to play T20Is instead of ODIs in the upcoming tour of Pakistan as we are planning to start our preparation for the next T20 World Cup as well as Asia Cup through that series," a BCB official confirmed Cricbuzz. "When Pakistan will travel to Bangladesh they are scheduled to play three T20Is," he added.The official insisted that the matches are scheduled to be played in Dhaka on July 20, 22, and 24, just before Pakistan's tour of the West Indies.© Cricbuzz
