Seb Stuart-Reckling signs rookie contract

Left arm seam bowler Seb Stuart-Reckling has signed a rookie contract with the Club for the 2025 season.

Stuart-Reckling impressed for the Second XI during the 2024 season and made his senior debut in the Metro Bank One Day Cup match at Sussex.

Seb appeared for the Surrey Pathway U14s before returning to play a consistent role as an opening bowler for the Club’s U18 side. In 2023, Seb opened the bowling in the team that won the National County U18 T20 cup and the regional plate.

Seb’s cricketing journey began at Stoke D’Abernon Cricket Club, before moving on to Banstead Cricket Club in the Premier Division of the Surrey Championship.

Alongside cricket, Seb is studying Accounting and Finance at Oxford Brookes University, while also being involved in the cricket programme at the University. Seb has been training at the Kia Oval alongside his studies.

On signing, Seb Stuart-Reckling said: “I’m delighted to have signed a rookie contract with Surrey. I have enjoyed my time around the group so far and am looking forward to continuing my development this summer.”
