Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded on Wednesday morning at approximately 10:21 a.m. to Hard Rock Stadium, according to 7News Miami.

Matos, a 6-foot-7, 334-pound offensive lineman, was being tended to by medical officials on the field while surrounded by teammates for more than 10 minutes before being airlifted to a hospital, the Miami Herald reported.

The Dolphins ended practice as medical responders were on the field, but said the injury was not the reason practice ended.

Matos joined the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program and signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2024.
