All the Stars at Gucci’s Intimate London Soirée Toasting Jannik Sinner

Wimbledon is just around the corner—so naturally, Gucci had to toast its tennis superstar ambassador, Jannik Sinner, with an intimate soirée at London’s Claridge’s on Thursday night. The men’s number one—fresh off the back of a nail-biting French Open final—was joined by a whole host of stars, including Paul Mescal, Naomi Ackie, Erin Doherty and Joe Keery, ahead of the start of the Championships at SW19 next week.

Surrounded by fresh pink dahlias and peonies, A-listers sipped on perfectly poured Negronis with giant Gucci-embossed ice cubes, before sitting down for a dinner of seasonal asparagus, Cornish brill and lemon vacherin. Conversation turned to tennis, of course, (expect to see some of these stars in attendance at the All England Tennis Club over the next fortnight, and/or slipping into Gucci’s new tennis collection for their own spot of on-court action), as well as Glastonbury and more far-flung summer plans.

Sinner will arrive at Wimbledon feeling fully refreshed, after spending some downtime at his parents’ home in the South Tyrol region of northeast Italy. “We made barbecue, I played some table tennis with my friends—it was some good time off, and then after some days, I came to prepare for the tournament here,” he told Vogue’s Corey Seymour. “So, yeah—everything was good, was relaxed and now I’m back—so let’s see what we can do.”
