After a rigorous selection, Wolves Esports has been named one of the 40 global partner clubs for the 2025 Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) Club Partner Program.From July to August 2025, the world's largest esports event—the second Esports World Cup (EWC)—will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.In 2024, Wolves Esports made a remarkable debut at the inaugural EWC, securing qualification in three titles: Honor of Kings (HoK), Teamfight Tactics (TFT), and Rainbow Six: Siege (R6). The club and its players clinched championships in TFT and HoK, showcasing their competitive quality.Building on the success of the first EWC, Wolves Esports continued to grow. When the Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) officially announced the EWCF Club Partner Program, Wolves Esports promptly began preparations and ultimately secured its place in the program. As an esports club backed by the English Premier League team Wolverhampton Wanderers FC. and Fosun Group, Wolves Esports possesses significant advantages in training capabilities and global exposure.The club made headlines in February this year by signing Chinese Chess Grandmaster Yu Yangyi, a member of the Chinese national chess team and a two-time Chess Olympiad team champion. Also one of Wolves Esports’ TFT players who won the championship at the inaugural EWC is once again preparing to compete. The overall aim for Wolves Esports in 2025 is to qualify for more EWC events and achieve as high a ranking as possible on the overall club leaderboard.Wolves Esports created a host of exclusive content during the 2024 EWC featuring Wolves star player Pang, the TFT division, and the R6 division, introducing the EWC to their global followers. This year, the club will engage even more deeply in diverse collaboration projects including special initiatives utilizing Molineux football stadium, exclusive viewing events both in China and the UK and a series of EWCF partnership activities leveraging Fosun Group’s global network.In addition, Wolves Esports has designed an exclusive team mascot for this year's Esports World Cup, named SpaceW. Donning a traditional keffiyeh on its head, SpaceW will be the brand ambassador for both the EWC and Wolves. Exclusive emojis and merchandise featuring SpaceW will soon be launched on both domestic and international platforms. Connecting global esports fans through unique team cultural symbols while conveying the esports spirit of both the EWC and Wolves Esports.In the future, Wolves Esports will work closely with the Esports World Cup Foundation, joining forces to promote global esports development and cultural exchange bringing an esports cultural feast to fans and enthusiasts around the world.
