The ACC Under-19 Women's T20 Asia Cup 2024, which began in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Sunday, will see six of the best teams from the continent battle it out for the title.

Conducted by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), this is the inaugural edition of the ACC U-19 Women's Asia Cup. The cricket tournament, which concludes with the final on December 22, will be played in the T20 format.

The participating teams include the four Asian full members along with hosts Malaysia and Nepal, who qualified for the tournament as the winner of the Women's U-19 Asia Qualifier 2025.

The ACC U-19 Women's Asia Cup 2024 tournament format will see the six teams divided into two groups of three each for the first round. After round-robin matches, the top two teams from each group will move into the Super Four stage.

The third-placed teams from each group, meanwhile, will face off in the 5-6th place playoffs.

After another set of round-robin matches, the top two teams in the Super Four group will face off in the final on December 22.

The Indian women’s cricket team faced arch-rivals Pakistan in the headline fixture of the group stage on Sunday and won the contest by a convincing margin on nine wickets.

All cricket matches of the ACC U-19 Women's T20 Asia Cup 2024, including the India vs Pakistan game, will be played at the Bayuemas Oval cricket ground in Kuala Lumpur.
