Sky Sports: ‘Exceptional’ Forward ‘Loves’ Man Utd, Wants to Join This Summer

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha ‘loves’ Manchester United and is open to joining them despite the club heading for their worst Premier League finish to date, Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol has revealed.

The Red Devils have emerged as strong suitors for Cunha in recent days and are believed to be among several Premier League clubs chasing a summer deal for the Brazilian.

While rivals Arsenal and Aston Villa could offer European football next season, Cunha would not necessarily be swayed by that and is reportedly still keen to join United despite them sitting just 14th in the table.

Ruben Amorim's side can still qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, where they face Athletic Bilbao in the semi-final next week.

Solhekol, writing on X, has revealed that Cunha views Man United as one of the biggest clubs in the world amid the Red Devils’ growing interest in him:

Cunha, who joined Wolves from Atletico Madrid in 2023, has been superb under Vitor Pereira this season, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.

The 25-year-old ranks joint-eighth among the Premier League’s top scorers this term, alongside Chelsea star Cole Palmer, who has also netted 14 goals.

Cunha, praised as 'exceptional', signed a new four-year deal with Wolves in January but is expected to leave after the season, with a £62.5m release clause written into his contract.
