India A posted 197 runs on the board in the first innings of the T20 World Cup warm-up clash against Namibia at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Riyan Parag proved to be the star performer, smacking 69 runs off 39 balls. India had a poor start to the match by the Assam cricketer changed gears, giving India A some much-needed momentum. Naman Dhir, on the other hand, struggled to get going, scoring 39 runs off 29 balls. Towards the fag end of the innings, Ashutosh Sharma wreaked havoc, scoring 35 runs off 21 balls. His late influence helped India A finish well in the middle. Meanwhile, for Namibia, Ruben Trumpelmann, Max Heingo and captain Gerhard Erasmus picked up two wickets each.

Meanwhile, for Namibia, the contest serves as an ideal preparation against high-quality opposition before the World Cup. Captained by Gerhard Erasmus, the African side comes into the game on the back of an impressive one-off T20I victory over South Africa. Known for their fearless and aggressive approach, Namibia have a history of springing surprises in the shortest format, making this encounter an exciting prospect.
