Iconic ex-player Warwick Capper has been banned from all AFL venues for five years over alleged “vile behaviour” at last year’s Grand Final.

Capper, 62, became well known for his flamboyant style both on and off the field during a 124-game career at both Sydney and Brisbane, wearing tight shorts and flying around in pink helicopters.

But Seven reports he drank heavily while watching his former teams play for the flag in a corporate box at the MCG last September.

“Catering staff made multiple complaints about Capper’s conduct during the game, reporting that he was heavily intoxicated, used derogatory language and intimidated a female staff member,” Mitch Cleary reported.

“MCG employees told the AFL Capper yelled ‘Wazza’s in the house’ before he was kicked out of a corporate suite and evicted from the ground.”

The ban means Capper cannot attend any MCG events including cricket matches and concerts.

Capper told Seven he was due to meet the AFL next week over claims relating to concussions over his career and how they are currently impacting him.
