All of the fourth round matches will be played on Day 7 of the WTA Miami Open, and the lineup is as good as it gets. This article features #8 seed Mirra Andreeva facing off against #10 seed Victoria Mboko in a fascinating clash. As always, we at LWOT will offer predictions for every match on the slate. But who will advance to the quarterfinals?

WTA Miami Day 7 Predictions

Karolina Muchova vs Alexandra Eala

Head-to-Head: first meeting

After three consecutive losses in the third round of the Miami Open, Karolina Muchova has finally crossed that hurdle and is into the last 16. She defeated the in-form Katie Boulter in straight sets and protected her second serve brilliantly. Alexandra Eala is showing that reaching the semifinals here last year was no fluke. She played a great match to beat Magda Linette in straight sets. Her serve was firing, and she came with some clutch winners in the second set. This should be a competitive match given the form of both players, but I will give Muchova a slight edge due to her variety.

Prediction: Muchova in 3

Jelena Ostapenko vs Hailey Baptiste

Head-to-Head: first meeting

Former finalist Jelena Ostapenko came back from a set down to defeat the #7 seed, Jasmine Paolini. Ostapenko nearly lost the plot in the third set after squandering her double-break lead, but she managed to close it out in the end. Hailey Baptiste is playing some of the best tennis of her career so far in this tournament, and defeating a top player like Elina Svitolina must give her a lot of confidence. She is in the round of 16 for the first time at this level and has a good chance to reach the quarterfinals. I will still go with Ostapenko due to her experience.

Prediction: Ostapenko in 3

Coco Gauff vs Sorana Cirstea

Head-to-Head: Gauff 1-0 Cirstea

#4 seed Coco Gauff survived a stern challenge against Alycia Parks in the third round. Parks came out firing and hit some blistering winners in the first set, but it didn’t rattle the American. Gauff saved three crucial break points at the start of the second set, and from there on, she played more aggressively and cruised to victory. She will need to start strongly against Sorana Cirstea, who is playing at a very high level in her final season on tour. The conditions are perfect for Cirstea to implement her game and trouble Gauff. I am going with an upset here.

Prediction: Cirstea in 3

Mirra Andreeva vs Victoria Mboko

Head-to-Head: Andreeva 1-1 Mboko

This rivalry between these two young prospects is starting to heat up, as this is already their third meeting of the season. Victoria Mboko won the last one in a thriller, and Mirra Andreeva will be looking to get in front once again. However, Andreeva’s recent form hasn’t been great, and Mboko is playing at a higher level. I think the Canadian comes in with more confidence, which should help her win this match.

Prediction: Mboko in 2
