Minnesota Timberwolves superstar wing Anthony Edwards delivered another electric scoring performance during Monday's 120-106 road win over the Washington Wizards. The two-time All-Star's offensive prowess left NBA fans buzzing, with some reigniting comparisons to Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

Minnesota and Washington went back and forth over the first three quarters, with the Timberwolves taking a modest 82-79 lead heading into the final stanza.

However, Edwards took his game to another level over the final 12 minutes. He scored 20 of his game-high 41 points, shooting 6-for-11 (54.5%), 3-for-5 from 3-point range (60.0%) and 5-for-5 at the free-throw line (100.0%).

Amid Edwards' scoring outburst, Minnesota outscored Washington 38-27 in the fourth quarter to secure a 14-point victory. The win marked the Timberwolves' fourth in five outings and third straight on the road.

Meanwhile, the Wizards dropped their seventh straight contest despite forward Kyle Kuzma and guard Jordan Poole combining for 44 points.

Following the game, fans on X/Twitter raved about Edwards' ability to flip a switch and dominate offensively.

"He has the skills, heart and courage to dominate any time he chooses," @AKALiHeping said.

"That's a dominant fourth quarter! Ant's clutch scoring ability is undeniable," @VASTO_e wrote.

"20 (points) in the fourth quarter is very demoralizing for the other team," @joaquinECGL said.

Meanwhile, others further likened Edwards to Jordan. He has drawn numerous comparisons to the six-time NBA champion over the past few years due to his high-flying playstyle and killer mentality.

While Anthony Edwards' 41-point scoring surge against Washington came on the road, he felt at home at Capital One Arena.

During his postgame interview, Edwards quipped that the Wizards' home crowd seemed primarily comprised of Timberwolves supporters, creating an enjoyable experience for him.

"This is one of the first times where I felt like I was at a home game in an away arena," Edwards said (Timestamp: 0:31). "So, I enjoyed every bit of it. Look at it, man. They're all waiting on me right now. It's crazy. So, yeah, it felt like I was in Minnesota."

Monday's outing marked Anthony Edwards' second 40-plus-point game of the season. His first, a career-high 53-point performance against the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 4, also came on the road.

However, Edwards and Minnesota (21-18) will return home for their next contest on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors (19-20).
