Fresh off one of the most exciting BBL Finals matches in recent memory, the Hobart Hurricanes continue their title defence tomorrow night at the Sydney Cricket Ground, taking on the Sydney Sixers in the Challenger.Their victory against the Stars last night, in trying conditions, saw the Hurricanes win in the final over as the Melbourne side fell three runs short.Sent in to bat in the rain-affected 10-overs-a-side match, Nikhil Chaudhary (24 off 11) got the Cane Train off to a flying start before Australian Test representative Beau Webster (47 off 26) cleared the rope on three occasions in the final over to get the Hurricanes to 5-114.With rain still lingering at Ninja Stadium, the match was reduced to seven overs during the Stars’ chase. Riley Meredith (2-19) continued his strong form with the ball, while Mitch Owen (1-22) showed great composure under pressure to keep the Stars short of their revised target of 85 and give the 'Canes a three-run win.The squad for tomorrow night’s Challenger sees Hurricanes captain Nathan Ellis return following a hamstring awareness injury that ruled him out of the Knockout against the Stars.
