Former Test cricket captain Michael Clarke has bought again in Sydney’s ritzy Vaucluse, purchasing a six-bedroom mansion with tennis court and pool for about $20 million, local sources have revealed.Clarke already owns a five-bedroom Mediterranean-style abode in the suburb, bought for $13.01 million in 2021, and sold his matrimonial home with ex-wife Kyly Clarke for $12 million earlier that year. The pair purchased the five-bedroom house for $8.3 million in 2014.It’s understood the cricket podcaster was drawn to the latest property for its north-facing championship tennis court. Records show the home last sold for $7 million in 2007.Listing agents for the abode, The Agency’s co-founder Steven Chen and Highland Double Bay’s Bill Malouf, declined to comment on the buyer’s identity or sale price when contacted by this masthead. However, the listing states the manor sold by private treaty on November 14. It had a guide of $20 million.The three-storey house is a double-brick and concrete build on more than 1000 square metres. There is a lower-level rumpus and media zone with a gym that opens directly to the pool, terrace and gardens.Other luxury additions include a custom cocktail bar, Calacatta marble kitchen and a grand entry hall with a circular ceiling and sculptural staircase.
