Lions update injury report ahead of Eagles game

The Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 11 opponent made some changes to their injury report on Saturday.

The Detroit Lions downgraded four players from questionable to OUT:

EDGE Marcus Davenport

CB D.J. Reed

LB Malcolm Rodriguez

OL Miles Frazier

As noted by our associates over at Pride Of Detroit, the Rodriguez development was not expected.

The biggest surprise here is that Rodriguez was not activated to the 53-man roster. Throughout his recovery, the belief was that Rodriguez was targeting the Eagles game for his return. With three weeks of practices under the injury evaluation umbrella—including practicing in full in all three practices this week—things looked as if they were lining up for his return. Unfortunately, that move did not happen.

Rodriguez has yet to play this year after suffering a season-ending injury in 2024.

Reed’s absence confirms the Lions will be pretty thin in the secondary since they’re missing multiple starters and multiple backups as well.

The Lions also added one new name to the report: rookie wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa, who is questionable with an oblique injury. Detroit also temporarily elevated two receivers from the practice squad, so, it looks like TeSlaa won’t play. If that’s the case, the Lions will be without their usual WR4.

The Eagles, meanwhile, did not announce any roster moves ahead of Saturday’s 4:00 PM deadline. They previously used a temporary elevation on Patrick Johnson last week. Their inactivity also confirms that Willie Lampkin, who was ruled questionable to play, will not be activated from injured reserve for Week 11. Not exactly a shocker.
