Ireland Women have announced their 14-player squad for an upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan Women which will take place in Clontarf between August 6th and August 10th 2025.Gaby Lewis will captain the 14-players squad with Orla Prendergast as vice-captain. Off-spin bowler Freya Sargent returns to the squad after recovering from injury, and fellow off-spinner Lara McBride holds onto her spot after impressing during her debut series against Zimbabwe.Ireland arrive in high spirits after a commanding 5-0 white ball series victory over Zimbabwe women, providing an encouraging start for new Head Coach Lloyd Tennant. Ireland Women will be keen to keep momentum moving in a positive direction with the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers fast approaching at the end of August.Speaking about the upcoming series Ciara O’Brien, National Women’s selector, said: “it’s great to be able to move so quickly into what will understandably be a much tougher assignment against Pakistan Women in Clontarf for this T20I series.”O’Brien continued: “With the upcoming matches, our preparation continues for the ICC Women’s T20I World Cup Europe Qualifier in the Netherlands in a few weeks, so we’re looking to see this latest momentum continued by the squad at Clontarf.”Head-to-Head:Ireland Women and Pakistan Women have met in 19 T20Is so far with Pakistan coming out on top in 15 of these encounters.
