African Legends Jaïdi, Sissoko, Moteab and Manucho to assist CAF Interclub Quarter-finals Draws in Cairo on Tuesday

Draws to feature perfect blend of prestigious and rising African football clubs

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has confirmed a distinguished line-up of African football Legends who will conduct the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final draws on Tuesday in Cairo, Egypt.

The two Draws will be held at the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) headquarters, with the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup ceremony taking place at 13h00 Cairo Time (11h00 GMT), followed by the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League draw at 14h00 Cairo Time (12h00 GMT).

Both draws will be live on CAF’s Official YouTube channel, CAF TV.

Four renowned African football Legends, Radhi Jaïdi (Tunisia), Momo Sissoko (Mali), Emad Moteab (Egypt) and Mateus “Manucho” Gonçalves (Angola) will assist with the draw proceedings that will officially map out the next phase of the continent’s premier interclub competitions.

The selection of the four African football greats reflects CAF’s continued commitment to recognising and honouring the enduring contributions of past African football heroes whose achievements have played a pivotal role in shaping the rich heritage of the African game.

Tunisian legend, Jaïdi enjoyed a decorated career as a commanding defender, winning multiple domestic titles with Espérance de Tunis and earning over 100 international caps for Tunisia, including lifting the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations in 2004.

Mali’s Sissoko was a powerful midfield presence for both club and country, featuring for top European clubs in Spain, England and Italy and representing Mali at the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON competitions where he was part of the Eagles side that obtained a podium finish in the 2013 edition.

Moteab is one of Egypt’s most celebrated forwards and won numerous domestic and continental honours with Al Ahly and played a key role in Egypt’s historic TotalEnergies CAF AFCON treble in 2006, 2008 and 2010.

Angolan legend, Manucho made his mark as a prolific striker for Angola, starring at the 2010 edition of the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON on home soil and enjoying a professional career that included a spell across Europe.
