Why matches move after fixtures are released

The 2025/26 opening-weekend fixture between Nottingham Forest and Brentford at the City Ground has been given a new date of Sunday 17 August at 14:00 BST.

This is due to a request from Nottingham Forest because of the original date of Saturday 16 August (15:00 BST kick-off) clashing with an event at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground.

The match will now be broadcast live in the United Kingdom on Sky Sports.
