Pakistan, on Sunday, announced a 17-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 cricket tournament, scheduled in the UAE between September 9 and 28.

Salman Ali Agha will captain the Pakistan cricket team at the Asia Cup 2025. The same 17-member Pakistani squad will also play in the T20 tri-series in Sharjah from August 29 to September 7, which features Afghanistan and the UAE.

Former Pakistani skipper Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan have once again been omitted from the Pakistan T20I setup. They were also not part of Pakistan’s recent T20I squads against Bangladesh and the West Indies.

Meanwhile, Fakhar Zaman has recovered from a hamstring injury sustained during the West Indies tour and makes a return to the squad.
