India secured a dominant 44-run victory over New Zealand in their final group match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai on Sunday, clinching the top spot in Group A. This result sets up an exciting semi-final clash with the World Champions, Australia, on March 4 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

In Group B, South Africa emerged victorious over England in their final league match in Karachi on Saturday, finishing with five points from three matches. This win allowed them to top Group B, edging out Australia, who secured four points and second place in the group standings.

India’s victory means they will face Australia in the first semi-final, while New Zealand, who finished second in Group A, will take on South Africa in the second semi-final at Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium on March 5.

If India manages to defeat Australia, the final will be held in Dubai, as India has opted to play all their matches in the UAE, refusing to travel to Pakistan. As a result, the winner of the second semi-final will need to travel to Dubai for the showpiece match.

However, if Australia advances to the final, Pakistan will have the honor of hosting the final at home for the first time in nearly 30 years, with the match set for March 9.
