Lahore Qalandars Vs Hyderabad Kingsmen, PSL 2026: The much-awaited Pakistan Super League 2026 will kick off with an exciting clash between Lahore Qalandars and the new franchise, Hyderabad Kingsmen. The opening match is set to be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday, March 26, 2026.

This season was expected to be bigger than ever, but due to ongoing Middle East tensions, the Pakistan Cricket Board has made some changes. All matches will now be held only in Lahore and Karachi, and games will take place without fans. The final is scheduled for May 3 in Lahore.

PSL 2026 Format: More Teams, More Matches

This year, the league has expanded to eight teams, making it more competitive. A total of 44 matches will be played over 39 days.

To manage the extra teams, the format has been updated. Teams are divided into two groups. Each team will play the other teams in their group twice and face teams from the other group once. In total, every team will play 10 league matches.

The top four teams will qualify for the playoffs. Their positions will decide whether they play in the qualifiers or eliminators, similar to the IPL format.
