Denton Signs Polish Prospect Chlodnicki

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M's men's tennis head coach Steve Denton announced the signing of Jan Chlodnicki to the Aggies' 2026-27 roster Wednesday.

Chlodnicki holds his current career-high ITF Juniors ranking at 73 with a 39-21 singles record. Recently, he saw action at the US Open Junior Boys qualification rounds, falling just short of the main draw.

"Jan first caught my eye at this year's US Open juniors," Denton said. "He ended up losing in the last round of qualifying. Our coaching staff saw a tall athletic lefty with a lot of potential for the future and already some good results on the ITF World Junior Tour. Jan has a big game with his lefty serve and big forehand. His game will only flourish in our system of developing young players. We can't wait to get him on campus next fall to begin to mold his game."

The Poland native has five singles titles, including the J100 Aizkraukle and J100 Hanko, and five doubles titles, including the J100 Liepaja.

"It is an honor to become a part of the Texas A&M tennis team," Chlodnicki said. "I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this incredible program. I am looking forward to giving my best performance on the court and in the University. Gig 'Em Aggies!"
