It’s frustrating, it’s disappointing.“It’s a tough period, but situations like that happen in tennis. All I can do is keep looking for a way out, which I haven’t found yet.More Tennis News“It seems I am still far from finding it, but I’ll find it eventually. In tennis, there can be many problems, and they can be related to different things, whether on or off the court.“Physically, again, it’s tough for everyone in the heat, but I don’t know why it’s tougher for me now than before. I mean, I need to find the reasons, but I don’t know yet.”Daniil Medvedev says physical preparation is now becoming the ‘key factor’ for himMedvedev said of the conditions in Cincinnati: “It was very hot, as I said. I really think physical preparation plays a huge role in these conditions.“I think as long as I was not completely exhausted, the match was fairly close. At least I understood what I was doing on the court.“But at one point, when I got tired, I couldn’t react to his serve on return like I did before. I was always starting the rally in a defensive position, and I couldn’t move as well anymore either; that’s why it’s really frustrating.“I think in many matches these days, physical preparation becomes the key factor.”The former US Open champion will now look ahead to his campaign at Flushing Meadows, in the hope of turning things around at the fourth major of the year.
